Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has credited head coach Enzo Maresca with transforming him into a goal-scoring winger, with him now scoring half of his goals in just a few games of last season in the Blues’ kit.

The 22-year-old has scored four goals this season in four appearances in all competitions, with the highlight being a hat-trick in the 6-2 rout of Wolves.

The heat on the grass floor, Noni said, was due to the hard training and pressure from the new boss.

“Maresca wants to push me,” he told the official website ทางเข้า ufabet

“The best players always give it their all in training, so of course I want to get there too.”

In the first season 2022-23, Madueke scored 1 goal for Chelsea, while in 2023-24 he scored 8 goals , 3 assists from 34 matches.

Madueke went onto bag a superb hat-trick against Wolves with Maresca again picking out something he did not like.

‘In the first 10 minutes he had two chances and overall he was very good,’ Maresca said after Chelsea’s thumping 6-2 win at Molineux.

‘The only thing I didn’t like from Noni is the free-kick he gave away before half-time and we can avoid that. especially against a team who are good from set-pieces.’
